My labrador retriever is my only child and as such I invest a lot of time and research in to products that benefit him as well as serve a basic function. my pup is rather large and eats quite a bit more than a smaller dog might. Another plus with this feeder is that it has stainless steel bowls which prevent puppy acne and other related problems that arise from using plastic feeders. This diner has only one fault and that is that it will rust after a year or so of being splashed with drinking water so it will need to be replaced at some point.
This feeder is available from Dog.com from $22.99 for the 2qt feeder to $28.99 for the 5qt feeder. I recommend the 5qt for any larger dog, simply because it reduces the mess made which results from small bowls that get overfilled. |

I grabbed one of these coolaroo dog beds yesterday afternoon for my labrador retriever. Granted he is spoiled rotten and has three other beds scattered through out the house but he is getting on in age and despite this he loves to sit on our back deck during the summer and sunbathe. Coolaroo bed and knew it was the answer to my problem, the large bed accomodates dogs up to around 125lbs which is perfect for my 80lb lab, the cover is meshed so any pollen or dust that does settle on the bed will pass right through or can be washed off with a hose and the legs of the bed are metal to make sure they don’t get chewed through as plastic might.
